Acts 16:6-10

Paul had already started many churches by the time he came to Troas.  He had more than enough to keep him busy for a lifetime.  But he had a vision one night of a man from Macedonia pleading with him, "Come over to Macedonia and help us."  Paul didn't need a new mission field in Europe.  Although the work in Asia was difficult and dangerous, it was familiar. Europe was a whole new ball game.  It would be like starting over.  It would be leaving the familiar, but Paul answered the call from Macedonia, went, and ministered in towns such as Philippi, Thessalonica, and Corinth.  What about you?  God may be calling you away from the familiar.  When you reach a crossroads challenging you to leave the familiar, what decision will you make?

Prayer:  Gracious God, give me the courage to step into unchartered territory.  Make my faith strong enough to go in new directions when you call.  Amen
