of DeSoto Christmas House Tour Sat., Nov. 27. We will set up our 3rd
annual Nativity Set display for this event--to add to our featured
stained glass windows. |

Vacation Bible School
Vacation Bible School
was a one-day affair this year. It was held from 9:00 a.m.
to 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 31, at St. Andrew's UMC. Cooperating
churches were the following Methodist churches: First DeSoto, Mt.
Olive, Victoria, Hematite, and St. Andrew's plus Hope United Church of
Christ. Pastor Nancy Smith of First UMC was the VBS director.
The theme was "Galactic Blast", a Cosmic Adventure Praising God.
Children experienced inspiring music, Bible stories, missions, crafts,
recreation, and healthy snacks and lunch. Rev. Nancy
Hollingsworth, pastor at Victoria and Hematite, led the Bible study.
Our district superintendant, Rev. Ann Rathert, visited during the
morning. |

church has been selected to host this year's cluster Charge Conference.
We will be responsible for hosting those coming from other churches. |
