St. Andrew's Has a "New" Pump Organ

An antique pump organ that belonged to Bob and Maxine Carter, long-time active members of this church now deceased, was dedicated to Christian service during the July 4 morning worship service.  The organ was purchased from the Carter estate by Marvin and Maxine Jinkerson and then donated to St. Andrew's.  Shown with the organ in the picture at the left are the Carter's daughter, Jan, and her husband Werner Stichling.  This organ was refinished years ago by Maxine Carter and the needlepoint pedal and stool covers were also done by her.  During the dedication service, Maxine Jinkerson played "America" on the organ in honor of Independence Day and also of Maxine Carter who was a member of D.A.R., the Daughters of the American Revolution.

AFGHANS FOR ANGELS

A box of 17 afghans made by St. Andrew's volunteers was recently mailed to Mrs. Falba Core, Missouri Director of Afghans for Angels.  These will be sent to Missouri hospitals by the end of this month.  Appreciation for this donation was expressed by those administering the program in Jefferson City.
